Overview

TRC is hiring a Director of Sustainability to implement, monitor, and lead continuous improvement of policies, programs, and initiatives to advance TRC's sustainability objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Driving the company's sustainability program by formulating action plans with defined objectives, targets and responsibilities
  • Collaborating with leadership to ensure alignment between program execution and the company's overarching business strategy
  • Measuring and monitoring progress against sustainability strategies, objectives and performance targets and ensuring appropriate internal controls and measurement systems are in place
  • Ensuring adherence to compliance requirements, regulations, voluntary commitments, and evolving industry standards
  • Leading client and industry ratings submittals on sustainability related matters
  • Coordinating the production of TRC's annual sustainability report and overseeing data collection for sustainability platforms such as CDP and EcoVadis
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to communicate TRC's sustainability goals, initiatives, and performance metrics

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a cross-functional position and the ability to build strong collaborative relationships within a large, matrixed organization. Additional requirements include:

  • BS in Business, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or related field and 10+ years' relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of energy, decarbonization and sustainability practices
  • Knowledgeable of sustainability issues within TRC's key client sectors is a plus, (Energy and Power Generation, Transportation, Commercial and Industrial, Financial and Professional Services, and Government)
  • Familiarity with key reporting standards and frameworks (CDP, GRI, EcoVadis, TCFD, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, project management skills and business acumen
  • Ability to collaborate across functional areas and business units to effectively align strategies, influence new processes, and amplify narratives
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder experienced at engaging and speaking to key internal and external stakeholders and comfortable with public speaking
  • Involvement in relevant trade organizations a plus
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage numerous matters and competing priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in virtual environments

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $188,733.00 - USD $221,135.00 /Yr.
