Job Overview
The Design Manager, Consumer will lead all aspects of the conceptualization, development, and implementation of innovative experiential store designs. This role requires a dynamic individual, with strong 3D visual skills, capable of balancing creative excellence with operational practicality. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver store solutions and environments that reflect our brand values, provide exceptional customer experiences, enhance customer engagements, and contributes to T-Mobile's strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Ideate and produce purposed and thoughtful retail design solutions that align to T-Mobile's brand values, business requirements, and strategies.
- Design Execution: Oversee and participate in the design process, from initial concept through construction and final implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to business strategies and goals.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all store designs are in line with T-Mobile's brand standards. Create experiences that delight customers smartly adapting designs and concepts to meet regional or market-specific requirements.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with merchandising, marketing, construction, operations, and vendors teams to create cohesive design solutions and experiences that represent and display the best of T-Mobile.
- Project Management: Lead multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with external partners, contractors, and vendors to deliver store environments on time and within scope. Review and approve design documents, material specifications, and construction drawings.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all designs align with local jurisdictional codes, ADA regulations, and company standards. Supervise the production of detailed design documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in design management within the retail, hospitality, or restaurant design industry; or a similar role. Required
- 3+ years of experience creating 3D visuals, renderings, and store designs in Revit and Sketchup for commercial projects in a production environment Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 3D Modeling Fluency in 3D visualization using Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, and rendering software (Vray, Enscape) (Required)
- Adobe Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft presentation software (Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365) (Preferred)
- Compliance Current working knowledge of building codes, ADA requirement and compliance issues of commercial spaces (Preferred)
- Project Management Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering retail design projects on time and within budget (Preferred)
- Design Excellent visual and spatial design skills. (Required)
- Multi-Task: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of detail and quality (Required)
- Construction Knowledge of retail construction, fixtures, materials, and finishes. (Required)

Base Pay Range: $86,000 - $155,100

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
