Senior Financial Analyst:

What You'll Do:

Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Business partner to global product management leaders
  • Prepares long and short term forecasts of the global financial performance to include development of performance commitments, resource requirements, scorecards and metrics for internal and external use.
  • Ensures integrity of business financial data through design of cost and capital flows, detailed analysis and facilitating the correction of source data.
  • Provides detailed analysis related to asset allocation (human and capital) and works with management to recommend changes in support of the regional financial goals.
  • Preparation of the Fixed Asset Investment Plan for the Region to include authorization economics, document and checkpoints and Operating Budget, profit planning, estimates and management reporting for the Region.
  • Participates in the Plan & Allocate Resources process to include long-term financial planning, business valuation, capital budgeting and capital authorizations.
  • Design, standardize and streamline global reports using multiple reporting tools including Tableau
  • Evaluate monthly financial results, providing valuable insights and analysis to global leaders and drive business decisions
  • Translate data into timely and meaningful management insights through the right metrics and interpretation

Special Projects/Analysis

  • Completion and/or participation in special projects requested by management.
  • Preparation of specific analyses on a periodic basis, such as, for example:
  • Provides business decision support to include financial modeling and analysis related to operations, facilities and optimization and SWOT analysis for specific business topics/functions.
  • Analyzes economic consequences of regional alternative courses of actions and recommendation of value-maximizing decisions (i.e., resource allocation decisions, pricing, and contracts with customers).

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Three to five years (minimum) work experience with a track record of continual promotion to progressively more responsible positions.
  • Highly motivated with positive attitude who embraces change and is a champion for continuous improvement
  • Strong financial and accounting background; good operational understanding of the business.
  • Ability to be procedurally oriented; strong administrative background and ability to implement new policies and procedures from written documentation.
  • Critical thinking in review of results and problem solving
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently, while managing competing priorities
  • Prior financial experience in chemicals, distribution and related industries is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, including lookups, sumifs and pivots tables.
  • SQL or Tableau experience
  • One Stream experience preferred
