To drive continued success in this exciting Medical Device field, we are seeking a Recruiter to join our winning team. Currently, the position is temp. to perm, depending on need.

Job Summary:

The Recruiter is a hands-on, full-cycle recruiting role responsible for managing all stages of the hiring process. This individual will identify, attract, and hire qualified candidates for open positions by executing tasks such as job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and preparing offer letters. The Recruiter works closely with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needs and ensure a smooth recruitment experience for all candidates.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Full-Cycle Recruitment: Execute the recruitment process for assigned positions, from drafting and posting job openings to sourcing candidates, screening resumes, and conducting initial phone or video interviews.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Proactively source and reach out to potential candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals) to build a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Interview Coordination: Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring team members, including arranging phone, video, or on-site interviews. Ensure all participants have the necessary details and decide appropriate interview times and venues that accommodate both candidates and interviewers.
  • Candidate Communication: Guide candidates through each step of the interview process, providing a positive candidate experience by communicating next steps and delivering timely feedback. Maintain professional and responsive communication to keep candidates engaged.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand position requirements and desired candidate profiles. Provide regular updates on recruiting progress and adjust sourcing efforts based on feedback, ensuring alignment with the hiring managers' needs (without engaging in high-level strategic planning).
  • Offer Management: Assist in facilitating salary and start-date negotiations in coordination with HR and the hiring manager.
  • Recruiting Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience: Multiple years of full-cycle recruiting experience (approximately 3-5 years desired) in a corporate or agency environment. A proven track record of independently sourcing and hiring top talent in competitive markets is required. (Experience in the Life Sciences or medical sales industry is a plus but not mandatory.)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruiting software/ tools to manage candidate pipelines. Hands-on experience posting jobs on job boards and social media platforms. Good working knowledge of standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Recruiting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of full-cycle recruiting techniques and best practices, including various candidate selection methods (interviews, assessments, reference checks, etc.). Familiarity with sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter) and basic recruitment marketing concepts.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively engage with candidates and stakeholders at all levels, building positive relationships and representing the company professionally. Comfortable coordinating with hiring managers and interviewers across different departments and locations.
  • Organization & Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Capable of maintaining thorough documentation and following established processes for each recruitment.
  • Independence & Teamwork: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership of the recruitment process and pride in achieving successful hires. At the same time, a collaborative team player who can work closely with HR colleagues and hiring managers to meet shared goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address challenges such as hard-to-fill roles or scheduling conflicts. Resourceful in finding new ways to attract candidates and resolve issues that arise during the hiring process.
  • Professionalism: High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality when handling candidate information. Comfortable adhering to company policies and legal guidelines throughout recruitment activities. (Professional certification in HR or Recruiting, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, is a plus but not required.)

Physical Demands and Work Environment - Hybrid work environment

  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment (on-site at company offices or via remote office setup), using typical office equipment.
  • The Recruiter may be required to travel to the corporate office in Mahwah, NJ for in-person interviews or meetings on occasion.
  • Occasional travel to other office locations, career fairs, or networking events may be required based on business needs.

Working Relationships

  • Internal: Reports to the HR Manager. Works closely with other hiring managers across all departments and members of the HR team (e.g., HR Business Partners, HR Coordinators) to support hiring needs and ensure a smooth recruitment process. Regularly collaborates with interview panel members and department leaders during the hiring cycle.
  • External: Represents the company to job candidates throughout the recruitment process. May interact with external parties such as third-party recruitment agencies or search firms on an as- needed basis (for example, coordinating candidate submissions or scheduling interviews for agency- sourced candidates, without engaging in contract negotiations with those agencies).
