Position Summary:
The Center
for Student Entrepreneurship (CSE) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking visionary and
accomplished Global Entrepreneurs in
Residence (GEIRs) to help foster a dynamic entrepreneurial culture on
campus. This is a part-time,
in-person position (8 hours/week) located at NJIT's Newark campus at the
CSE.

Essential Functions:
-Mentorship & Advising: Provide strategic mentorship to student entrepreneurs working on early-stage ventures and innovation projects. This includes group and one-on-one mentoring.
-Workshop Delivery & Facilitation: Deliver talks and teach hands-on modules on topics such as business modeling, customer discovery, pitch delivery, fundraising, and scaling.
-CSE Service and program delivery: an integral member of delivering on the CSE services, such as pitch review, startup internships, and connecting students to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
-Event Engagement: Participate in and help coordinate events including pitch competitions, demo days, and speaker series.
-Community Building: Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive student entrepreneurial community across campus.
-Outreach & Promotion: Actively promote CSE services to students and the broader NJIT community through events and visibility efforts.
-Other specific roles and tasks as assigned by the PI.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Acceptance into the NJIT Center for Student Entrepreneurship's GEIR 2025 Cohort.
-Master's degree required; an advanced degree and substantial entrepreneurial experience preferred.
-Demonstrated experience founding and leading high-growth startups.
-Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, especially with student founders.
-Public speaking and workshop facilitation expertise.
-Commitment to in-person participation at NJIT for 8 hours weekly.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate $35.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
