Job SummaryThe Staff and Faculty Consultation Center (SFCC) seeks an occasional Counselor/Consultant to join our highly effective internal team of Employee Assistance professionals. SFCC Consultants provide rapid assessment and brief confidential counseling to Caltech employees, post-docs, and faculty, and their household members. Issues addressed may include personal or relationship concerns, work-related events, difficulty with alcohol and other drugs, health, legal, or other factors that may affect job performance. Team members provide targeted referrals to a range of service providers. The SFCC provides organizational consultation to campus leaders, and is engaged in Institute compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act. The team offers a variety of groups, workshops, and training related to workplace and life management topics. SFCC Consultants actively respond to campus crises, and are involved in disaster planning to support the Institute's response and recovery efforts. Essential Job Duties
