Job: Plant Controller

The SCI Huntsville Plant Controller will be responsible for all accounting aspects of plantoperations, and will support Plant Management in the operations of the Plant. This is a key rolewithin the SCI Finance team who will be a major influencer in furthering development of SCIFinance as a learning organization that performs with integrity. This is not a "run the existingplaybook" role; this is a great opportunity to apply your knowledge and experiences and driveimprovements to help create a world class accounting function.

The plant controller will report to the Division Controller. This role has growth potential and highvisibility within Sanmina Corp and will interface with internal and external auditors and internalleadership.

Nature of Duties



  • Ensure accurate and timely plant financial accounting and reporting
  • Develop and execute efficient accounting practices and controls; challenge and overhaulineffective processes.
  • Work closely with SCI FP&A to develop insightful integrated financial forecasts.
  • Provide advice and counsel to plant operating management to ensure the optimumperformance of the plant.
  • Collect and interpret financial data to influence, recommend or impel managementtoward logical decisions consistent with company objectives.
  • Identifies and implements programs that control the corporation's financial riskconsistent with direction provided by the Division Controller and Corporate Accounting.
  • Review and analyze financial information and highlights with the Plant Managers to driveplant profitability.
  • Prepares and submits in a timely fashion, the month end close and managementreports.
  • Prepares financial projections and Plant status reports to divisional and corporatemanagement as required and coordinates discussions with plant and divisionmanagement on financial matters.
  • Develops and implements systems to control the manufacturing operation costs andmaintain systems to monitor product lines and customer profitability.

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-7 years' Cost Accounting/Plant Controller experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ASC 606 revenue recognition principles understanding and practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) preferred; integratedfinancial systems (Oracle Projects preferred), cost accounting/analysis in an actual-job order cost environment, inventory analysis and financial statement preparation
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management is essential
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • CMA/CPA preferred a plus
