Description Cliff is looking for someone to join Chad Eddins' team as a Mainframe Developer as a stop gap while they maintain mainframe that includes about 40% of the companies applications. They will potentially extend longer than 9 months depending on where they are at with modernizatoin efforts. Need to have at least 5 years of experience with COBOL and JCL languages, and ideal candidate is local to KC. oCommunicate and collaborate across multiple teams by providing on-call support of production, client test cycles and resolving cycle-related issues or problems oAddress cycle-tuning and cycle-performance issues and opportunities oEngage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services-from inception, through deployment, operation and refinement oSupport services through activities such as system design consulting, integrating software and frameworks, automation creation, testing, capacity planning and implementation reviews oMaintain stability by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health oScale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity oUtilize technical skills to maintain optimal system efficiency, productivity and reliability oConfidently strategize and act to provide creative solutions, communicating clearly and concisely while utilizing the AGILE philosophy. oPerform other duties as assigned Skills Cobol, Mainframe, Db2, Jcl, Vsam, sas, message queue Top Skills Details Cobol,Mainframe,Db2,Jcl,Vsam Additional Skills & Qualifications oExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills oMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities oInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills oAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values Desirable Experience oGeneral Banking Experience oDebit/Credit Card Systems oMainframe Modernization oSAS oINSYNC oDumpMaster and TraceMaster oMQ Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
