Reporting to the Wichita Logistic Manager (functionally to the Plant Manager), the Logistics Analyst will be accountable to deliver on customer service and inventory levels at the lowest possible total cost by managing the inventory, engineering change implementation, and coordinating with other areas including Production Planning, Logistics, and Quality. Additionally, Production & Inventory Control Specialist implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Collaborates with cross functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. The position will work closely with the finance to maintain the process controls and procedures in place associated with managing company inventory.



Responsibilities

    Responsible for the overall inventory control as required by production schedules and/or customer orders while minimizing inventory and costs.
  • Leads organization in attaining key metrics including inventory turns, days on hand, on-time delivery, FIFO execution, and schedule adherence.
  • Establish and implement methods and standard methodologies related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, material control- including surplus & obsolescence, and inventory management related to ECO implementation. Partner closely with the plantfinance controller to ensure proper inventory and reserve balances.
  • Ensures that rejected material is segregated and disposed of properly in a timely manner.
  • Responsible to run inventory usage accordance to FIFO controls.
  • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Responsible for a formalized inventory cycle count control system to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with other departments to ensure cohesiveness within the plant.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

The annual salary for this role is $63,000 - $84,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics field)
  • 3+ year's related experience in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control

OR

  • Associate Degree (Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics field)
  • 6+ year's related experience in manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytical, problem solving, project management, facilitation, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of materials and inventory control in manufacturing environments including various levels of planning from Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to execution and control of production activity, transactional management, ECO implementation, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), purchasing, warehousing, inventory control, scheduling, shipping and/or logistics.
  • Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams.
  • Must be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to work within production software programs and create Excel documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
