The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $104,880.00 to $131,100.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The Bailment Supply Planning Manager is responsible for all aspects supply and inventory replenishment for the US market within the 22 bailment warehouses across 16 control states. The responsibility includes keeping accurate warehouse inventories levels and reporting, optimizing processes, minimizing overall supply chain costs and supervision and development of bailment analysts. The position manages 3-4 Planning analyst and reports to the Director of Supply Chain for the US market.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Responsible for inventory replenishment in all bailment warehouses and overall management of the bailment function. This includes managing weekly replenishment plans, capturing/entering weekly inventories, receipts, withdrawals, establishing safety stock and sourcing relationships, monitoring logistics, managing value added product, and deploying shipments.
  • Determine, maintain and ensure optimization of safety stock levels to obtain low carrying costs, as well as high service levels.
  • Maintain all system parameters (E1 ERP, Anaplan, etc.) and keep a rigorous and disciplined maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure correct and timely processing of all invoices associated with bailment warehouse operations.
  • Develop and own the Bailment Markets - Mercury division Sales & Operations process (S&OP). Lead the monthly bailment S&OP call with the commercial leads in the market to discuss commercial activity, forecast accuracy, supply risks, slow moving inventory and other customer related topics.
  • Take lead role in working with control states to promote and improve bailment reporting process. Act as liaison with sales team, control states and warehouses that include investigating and resolving operation problems (i.e. order management, shipping issues and systems/process breakdowns both internal and external).
  • Develop bailment metrics and inventory targets, keep track of inventory performance and take proactive measures to reduce inventories while balancing customer service, inventory and transportation costs.
  • Coordinating system and administrative requirements for product listing/de-listing.
  • Improve forecast process through communication concerning special promotions, co-packs, and product issues that will impact inventory.
  • Leads, coaches, motivates, and develops Bailment team in line with Company values to maximize employee engagement and performance.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvement opportunities to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations and control states processes.
  • Collaborate with the supply planning and S&OP team on the build and calibration of supply plans, net requirements, and shipment and depletions forecasts.
  • Collaborates with the Customer service and logistics team on system and process improvement projects.

Position typically works with all levels of employees within the company (global) and with external stakeholders and is knowledgeable on all aspects of supply chain operations. Communication will include contacts within and outside the company, including control state officials, Third Party Logistics and distributor representatives. Position controls significant resource expenditures. Responsible for safeguarding of company information as well as substantial corporate assets. Decisions will impact the entire organization, and errors may cause significant delays, inefficiencies, and expense to the organization. We're looking for a proactive, independent thinker with deep analytical skills, coupled with the ability to work in a structured manner to thrive in ambiguity. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, dig into massive sets of information, and create solutions to problems that have never been tackled before.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

- Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related field preferred.

- Experience/ Background:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the Spirits industry. Experience with Bailment/ Control states is highly desirable.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or related position.
  • Experience on fast-moving consumer goods, ideally in Food & Beverage.
  • APICS certification desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
  • 4+ years SQL, Excel, Supply chain planning technologies like Anaplan, JDE, SAP etc.
  • Proven, successful track record of earning trust and influencing across the organization and leading others cross-functionally to deliver on projects and goals.
  • Thinks strategically but stays on top of tactical execution.
  • Acute attention to detail and highly organized.

- Required Skills/ Competencies:

  • High level of communication, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to organize and manage area to achieve results and track performance so that problems are detected early or prevented entirely.
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, etc).
  • Experience with Supply chain planning technologies like Anaplan, JDA, Logility, Oracle ASCP, etc.
  • Excellent presentation, data visualization and communication skills.
  • Experience working with multi-echelon hierarchies and senior management.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word).
  • Entrepreneurial, can cope with ambiguity.
