Director, Talent Acquisition ensures the consistent high-quality delivery of the overall recruitment and hiring process in conjunction with the Vice President, Talent Acquisition. This role will develop new and complex strategies specializing in enhancing recruitment programs to attract top talent; along with standing up a highly functioning team across the enterprise.

This role will be key in terms of relationship building between key stakeholders at our affiliates as well as within the framework of the larger TA team. The position will work closely with other Human Resource leaders, team members, business leaders and managers to share best practices. The Director will participate in and represent recruitment in committees, assist with on-going policy and process management, process improvement, and compliance projects.

The position of Director develops the process by which strategies are implemented across the organization in conjunction with the TA Leadership Team. Works to develop future leaders through instruction and coaching as well as performance management, delegation of tasks, monitoring productivity and maintaining workflow. Develops recruitment strategies and sources to meet the organization current and future manpower needs. Oversees and administers programs and special projects and monitors cost and budgets. Serves as a representative at agencies, universities and other functions. Supports the organization's goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Education:

Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in HR related field. Master's degree is preferred.

Knowledge:

Demonstrated experience in and comprehensive knowledge of interviewing techniques, career counseling skills and recruitment strategies. Comprehensive knowledge of fair employment legislation and regulations. Skilled in use of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, Career Builder and Facebook to proactively source candidates and post job openings. Ability to plan, organizes, direct, implement and evaluate processes to lead people and manage resources to achieve desired result.

Skills:

Work requires analytical ability necessary to determine department needs; screen and evaluate job applicants to meet those needs; analyzes college recruiting needs in light of costs and budgets. Requires the ability to work independently. Work requires advanced communication skills to screen, interview and counsel applicants and represent organization at universities and agencies; verbal and quantitative skills to compose correspondence, brochures and reports. Excellent oral and written communications skills, including presentations, with the ability to logically translate and disseminate information to stakeholders. Ability to facilitate and interact effectively with upper levels of management.

Work Experience:

Seven to ten years of progressively responsible recruitment or leadership experience. Significant experience in sourcing, interviewing, and developing recruitment plans with at least five years of supervisory experience, preferably in recruitment operations.

Assists in the development of department budget.

Authority/Decision Making Level:

Manage work independently. Arranges daily schedule to meet customer and project needs. Works within JHM decision-making hierarchy.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervises Talent Acquisition Specialists which includes responsibility for the hiring, firing, performance management, and evaluation results.





Problem Solving:

Researches and recommends changes to improve unit/department operations.

Information Management:

Reads and understands hospital forms, requisitions etc. Identifies opportunities for improvement in information management within recruitment services.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during informal candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
