Overview

As a Know Your Client (KYC) Case Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, verifying client data, performing due diligence checks, reviewing KYC documentation, assessing risk, liaising with the Business and Compliance/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) teams, and advising on KYC requirements. In accordance with AML requirements, banks such as Deutsche Bank are obliged to perform KYC reviews on all new clients and conduct periodic reviews based on their risk category. These checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory requirements and the Bank's internal policies.

What You'll Do

  • You will conduct new client adoptions and periodic reviews by collecting and analyzing KYC documentation in line with regulatory and Deutsche Bank AML policies

  • You will manage relationships between the KYC team and business units, acting as the front office liaison for due diligence analysts in other locations

  • You will communicate with clients to gather KYC documentation and data, ensuring timely and high-quality due diligence reviews

  • You will assess AML risks and identify potential 'red flag' situations, escalating issues as necessary

  • You will handle sensitive client data with confidentiality and work with stakeholders to resolve key issues effectively

  • You will contribute to improving KYC processes and participate in strategic technology change initiatives

Skills You'll Need

  • Prior experience in handling Know Your Client (KYC) operations

  • Basic understanding of markets, corporate, and wholesale banking products

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with internal teams and clients, acting as the main point of contact for KYC matters and resolving issues through effective communication, Ability to analyze client information and documentation critically, identify potential risks and 'red flags,' and escalate issues appropriately

  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and assess risk scores

  • Ability to source information from various research tools, (Bloomberg, Lexis Nexis etc.) and in several cases utilizing financial reports and audited statements to interpret alerts, identify trends and source of information

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with strong skills in Excel

  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in gathering and analyzing KYC documentation, with a strong commitment to handling sensitive client data confidentially

  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to contribute ideas for process improvements, participate in strategic technology change initiatives, and work collaboratively to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of KYC processes

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $54,000 to $77,400. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
