Kennedy Jenks is seeking a customer-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Services team. This role is ideal for a technically focused and knowledgeable individual with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to build client trust. We're looking for a high-energy, achievement-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The right candidate will excel at developing and presenting effective solutions that create value for clients. The preferred location for this role is based out of our Princeton, New Jersey office. Key Responsibilities:

As an Environmental Engineer in our expanding firm, you will work with a team of scientists and engineers to solve complex environmental challenges. You will:


  • Analyze, evaluate, and interpret environmental data.
  • Prepare or review work plans and reports.
  • Provide project strategy and delivery to key clients.
  • Lead and support teams to execute environmental projects from initiation to closure.
  • Perform project or task management activities and identify and resolve budget, scope, and schedule issues.
  • Prepare subcontract agreements and monitor subcontractor progress to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Interact with clients and communicate regarding key project decisions and project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and client and company requirements.
  • Maintain quality control.
  • Lead or participate in project meetings.
  • Travel to project sites and fieldwork assignments (e.g., collection of environmental samples and supervision of subcontractors, etc.) may be required.
  • May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously using strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:


  • BS in Engineering, Geology, or related Science.
  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist registration strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience (8+ years preferred) in the environmental consulting industry.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects or assignments on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong relationship management and ability to provide excellent client service.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to motivate and move projects forward to completion and effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, regulators, colleagues, subcontractors, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of and experience working under federal and state regulations governing environmental site investigations and remediation.

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $88,000 to $125,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
