Elevate Textiles, a global provider of textile products and solutions, is looking to fill the position of Director Global Financial Reporting to work as part of its global finance shared services team. Position Overview: The Global Director of Financial Reporting will oversee and lead the financial reporting functions of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial statement, lender, and board reporting preparation procedures. This role involves managing the Financial Reporting team, coordinating with FP&A, leading projects within the department, and implementing best practices to support the company's reporting processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, accounting and reporting experience, and works proactively to drive results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Global Director of Financial Reporting will report to and work closely with the Corporate Controller and others in the organization in development, documentation, and implementation of global accounting policies and financial reporting policies and processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting:
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and FP&A teams to prepare monthly financial reporting package for the executive team and board of directors.
- Lead and oversee the preparation of quarterly lender reporting packages and reporting required to properly maintain debt covenant requirements.
- Manage and lead the process of preparing the annual financial statements
Technical Accounting:
- Oversee and manage complex technical accounting issues.
- Interpret and implement accounting standards (GAAP) and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures and lead the development of new accounting practices.
- Resolve complex accounting issues and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Consolidations:
- Oversee the consolidation process for financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
- Ensure accuracy in the consolidation of multiple entities and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Develop and maintain consolidation models and systems to support financial reporting.
- Analyze consolidated financial results and provide insights to senior management.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial reporting professionals to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics and ensure team adherence to best practices.
- Foster a collaborative environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the Corporate Controller and other members of the leadership team regarding pace and progress of initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of technical accounting standards and external reporting requirements and ability to write detailed, accounting memoranda when necessary.
- Proven experience with financial consolidations, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to perform technical accounting research and apply in real-life situations and document in accounting memos to support Company documentation and audit requirements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Consolidation systems (e.g., OneStream, Workiva, Power BI).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
