About The Position

The Manager, Division Engineering, is responsible for the overall engineering-related execution of the Division's electric business. This role includes providing leadership for, and training and development of Division's Engineering Supervisors, Engineers and Estimating personnel. Drive for results with respect to ensuring consistency with, and compliance for defined engineering standards and filed tariffs with the Missouri PSC. Oversight with project development in association with customer requirements, company service policies and standards, compliance with collective bargaining agreements, Consolidated Safety Manual, and electric operating budget responsibilities.

Further, the Manager must:

  • Inspire and engage the team in such a manner that each co-worker understands how they contribute to the overall Ameren vision;
  • Exhibit the ability to deliver results, think-customer, champion learning, and collaborate with Division teams to deliver exceptional customer service and execute toward budget goals;
  • Embrace the responsibility for communicating the connection between overall Ameren strategy, functional area vision and department goals;
  • Identify strengths and development opportunities for self and others; and
  • Serve as an advocate for an accountable, safe work culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, train, and evaluate engineering personnel performing studies, design, and project management duties.
  • Establish design criteria, applicable engineering practices, Company procedures and policies to conform to codes and regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, prioritize and coordinate activities in support of the Division Director and Ameren teams to assure that assignments and/or projects are completed, and re-forecasted, as applicable, relative to time schedule, available man-hours, and costs.
  • Interface with vendors, contractors, suppliers, general public, major customers, interconnected utilities, governmental and regulatory agencies, as well as other groups with the Company.
  • Participate on and interface with Ameren teams, as required.
  • Represent the Company and provide expert testimony, as required.
  • Keep abreast of state-of-the-art developments and improvements; and contribute to the personal and professional development needs of the Engineers and Estimators within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. Masters Degree preferred. A Missouri or Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Seven or more years of electrical design engineering or related engineering experience is required. Three years of team or project leadership experience required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Excellent leadership, management, analytical, communication, flexibility and human relations skills (required).

Compensation Range:

$128,700.00 - $199,500.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
