Description
Position Description The Manager, Member Quality, leads compliance operations, performance monitoring, and committee facilitation-primarily overseeing the Membership and Professional Standards Committee (MPSC). This role ensures alignment with OPTN requirements and organizational goals, while fostering process improvement, risk mitigation, and cross-departmental collaboration. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Operations
- Manage daily operations and staff within Member Quality, ensuring timely and accurate case management.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaboratively lead operational and administrative functions of the Membership and Professional Standards Committee (MPSC).
- Manage the oversight responsibilities of any leads within your functional area who have staff reporting to them
Policy & Compliance
- Interpret and apply OPTN policies and management and membership policies, supporting their consistent implementation across Member Quality activities.
- Identify risks to patient safety or policy compliance and take appropriate action in accordance with established procedures.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure all case reviews and committee activities meet regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with UNOS retention policies.
- Monitor departmental activities to ensure they are executed within defined scope, authority, and obligations.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-year degree in business, public policy, public administration, biological sciences, health care or related field of study, or an equivalent level of work experience is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
Critical Skills
- Experience with quality assurance, performance improvement, and collaboration in team-focused environments.
- Familiarity with organ transplantation is preferred.
- Decision-Making: Proven ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure, using data and stakeholder input to guide actions.
- Team Development: Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to reach their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Change Management: Experience leading teams through change, with a focus on adaptability, resilience, and maintaining morale during transitions.

Education
- 4-year degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or equivalent work experience
