Salesforce Inc. seeks MTS Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Participate in and contribute to regular team-release planning by conducting feasibility and design research or developing proofs-of-concept for new, to-be engineered software features. Participate in and contribute to regular agile development meetings such as daily standups, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and release retrospectives. Assist in negotiating and translating uplift and governance requirements over software, specifically how those requirements are codified as rules within static analysis or governance controls. Interpret and respond to functional requirements for software components and develop, document, and vet corresponding technical design documentation. Design, build, test, and deploy engineered software components including static analyzers, API's, databases and database objects, and user interfaces. Serve as a quality check for teammates' work deliverables. Assume on-call monitoring and support duties on a rotational basis, specifically triaging and possibly addressing bugs, operational issues, or end-user support issues that may arise. HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java; (2) Python; (3) PL/SQL; (4) Jenkins; (5) Agile Software Development; (6) Web Services; (7) Bigtable/MongoDB; and (8) Splunk. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $180,960.00 - $188,600.00 per annum.
