Summary

The Human Resources Specialist supports the Company's goal of building a high-performing and engaged workforce by managing Learning & Development (L&D) programs Company-wide while driving talent acquisition and employee relations initiatives. This multi-focused role supports Company growth and retention, fosters a culture of continuous learning, and helps create a positive work environment across the Organization.

Human Resources Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Learning & Development (Company-wide) - 50%



  • Design, coordinate, and deliver learning and development programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Partner with department leaders to assess training needs and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President, Human Resources to coordinate leadership development workshops and initiatives.
  • Manage L&D platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning) and utilize data and analytics to identify trends, make recommendations and improve participation and completion rates.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through feedback and metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across all locations.


Recruitment & Talent Acquisition - 25%



  • Lead employee life-cycle processes for department or job specific roles.
  • Partner with department leaders to develop recruitment strategies to meet operational staffing needs.
  • Build partnerships with local organizations, workforce agencies, high schools and universities to develop talent pipelines.
  • Conduct interviews and collaborate with hiring managers to ensure effective selection decisions.
  • Manage onboarding process and ensure a positive new hire experience.


Employee Relations & Engagement - 25%



  • Act as first point of contact for employee relations matters for department or job specific roles.
  • Provide coaching to managers and employees regarding performance matters.
  • Conduct investigations and document outcomes in coordination with Company policies and practices.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment aligned with Company values.
  • Monitor workplace trends and provide feedback to HR leadership.


Human Resources Specialist Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related field and one (1) to two (2) years of Human Resources related experience or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding business principles and how HR contribute to the Organization's goals is essential.
  • Experience recruiting employees preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and LMS.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Nevada employment laws.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including empathy, conflict resolution and emotional intelligence, required.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed between corporate office and facility location.
  • Intermediate level of skill in Microsoft 365; Microsoft certification preferred
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
