What You'll do: Position Overview: The Capture Analyst Intern will support our Growth team across data gathering, proposal development, and marketing and communications initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate with a passion for visual storytelling, technical writing, and business development to gain hands-on experience with proposal strategy, content design, and marketing execution. No prior industry experience is required-just a strong interest in shaping compelling narratives that help win new business. Responsibilities Include:
Capture Support & Proposal Writing: Assist in researching, drafting, and formatting content for business proposals and presentations. Help synthesize technical input into clear, compelling messaging aligned with brand tone and strategic goals. Market Research & Data Gathering: Conduct targeted research on potential clients, competitors, and industry trends to support capture planning. Summarize findings in structured formats that inform win themes and positioning. Graphic Design & Content Development: Collaborate on the creation of visual materials such as pitch decks, infographics, and social media content using tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite. Help ensure brand consistency across internal and external communications. Editing & Quality Assurance: Review and edit written materials for clarity, grammar, and consistency. Help maintain an internal knowledge base of reusable content and design templates. Marketing Campaigns: Contribute to developing and scheduling digital content that promotes our capabilities and culture on LinkedIn and other platforms. Track engagement metrics to assess reach and impact. Professional Development: Participate in optional learning modules to build skills in technical writing, design thinking, and government or commercial business development frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
A recent graduate or current student in English, Communications, Marketing, Design, Public Policy, or a related field. Candidates with technical or interdisciplinary backgrounds who demonstrate strong writing and design skills are also encouraged to apply. Strong interest in visual communication, persuasive writing, and the business development lifecycle. Strong written communication skills with keen attention to detail and editing. Comfortable synthesizing information from multiple sources and structuring it logically. A creative thinker with a collaborative spirit and an interest in storytelling through both words and visuals. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with design platforms (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe Illustrator) is a plus.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $30,680.00 - $31,720.00
