Mechanical Engineer II
Overview Engineers will support design, test, and construction efforts for the LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA Classes of Submarines. This area supports all of Engineering with subject matter expertise for shock and vibration qualification of submarine systems, components and equipment. Responsible for coordinating and tracking the shock qualification of equipment in all classes of submarines. These efforts include the following: performing standard mechanical stress calculations and comparisons of material properties to demonstrate shock resistance of equipment; conducting reviews of installation drawings, detailed drawings, shock test procedures and test reports; provide test support at Electric Boat, Vendor and Sub-contractor facilities. Qualifications Required:
BS/MS in Mechanical or Marine engineering
