Job Description Business Profile: AVK Industrial Products, a Precision Castparts Company, manufactures superior mechanical inserts, studs, compression limiters, installation tools and military standard bolts. AVK produces blind installed threaded fasteners for transportation and general industrial markets worldwide. We use state of the art high-speed cold forming equipment to produce blind installed threaded inserts and studs. We feature product lines of both unified (INCH) and metric fasteners along with numerous special designs that meet customer application requirements. All aspects of our business are controlled and certified to the exacting requirements of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 international standards. Housed in an 80,000 square-foot facility in the Valencia Industrial Center, AVK has been manufacturing high quality products for over 25 years. Position Summary: Level Three: Level three mechanics work under minimal supervision to maintain facility and grounds. Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, perform PM tasks such as trouble shoot lubrication system, hydraulics, bar feeders, etc. trouble shoot controls, issues etc., able to diagnose and repair most any NC mechanical issues; pull and replace ball screws, hydraulic and pneumatic issues, conveyor systems and all types of production machines and equipment. Able to complete any task given related to facility maintenance demonstrating expertise in plumbing and general carpentry and numerous tasks involved in facility related issues. Demonstrating the ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, while serving as either a mechanical or technical SME. Typically 6-10 years of experience. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction. Lift up to 35lbs. Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors. Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings. Replaces or repairs machine belts. Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines. Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes for electrical connections. Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape. Implements preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facilities. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment. Area Cleanliness/Organization (6S) Performs other routine duties as assigned. Required Skills: The ability to read and write English. The ability to input computer data. Familiarity of header tooling & equipment (Progressive & Non-Progressive) Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings. Hazardous Materials Handling Training may be required. PCC's Forklift Driving Safety Certification must be completed. PLC Programming preferred. May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training. Experience & Education Typically, 6-10+ Years of Experience GED or High school diploma preferred but not required. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $28 to $42 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter .
