Responsibilities

How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:

As a Cybersecurity Support Specialist with MTSI, you will be responsible for assisting AFRL with information system reviews and management of Common Control Provider (CCP) instantiations in eMASS. This position will also help review and document system information as AFRL migrates from one system of record and into eMASS. This position will be located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

Responsibilities:

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Assist AFRL information systems with the RMF process, including preparation, categorizations, controls selection, control implementation, documentation, and monitoring
  • Support implementation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of multiple systems
  • Assist in implementation and management of eMASS system to manage the RMF process, including creation of templates, overlays, and inheritable packages.
  • Educate, assist, and advise AFRL information systems with use of eMASS.
  • Assist AFRL/IZ in the management of projects to transition information systems to eMASS, on both NIPR and SIPR networks.
  • This position will be co-located with the government customer at WPAFB. Telework is permitted on a per-case basis.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience working as an ISSO, ISSM, SCA, SCA-R or ISSE
  • Experience within eMASS
  • RMF implementation experience including policy and procedure writing
  • Broad knowledge of system configurations and best practice
  • Writing and executing cybersecurity test procedures for validation of control compliance
  • Work as part of a security incident response team, as needed
  • Develop improvements to security assessments regarding accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist team to design, integrate, and implement JSIG/RMF Continuous Monitoring tools and processes
  • Assist with system design reviews
  • Advise the Information System Owner (ISO), Information Data Owner (IDO), and the Delegated and/or Authorizing Official (DAO/AO) on any assessment and authorization issues
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD, National and applicable service and agency security policy, manuals and standards. Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners

Certifications Required:

  • CompTIA Security+

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) with 6 years of professional experience.
  • Associate's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) with 10 years of professional experience.
  • 12 years of related professional experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.

Even better if you have these desired skills:

  • Experience with documenting cloud environments including Google, AWS & Azure. (IL2, IL4, IL5, IL6)
  • Additional certifications of ISC2 CISSP, CGRC or CCSP; CompTIA SecurityX (CASP+); ISACA CISM

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an active DoD clearance. Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) highly desired.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
