DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure Developer Services, GitHub CI, GitHub Actions), Container orchestration systems (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Integrate security tools and practices into the DevOps process (SAST, DAST, secrets scanning, vulnerability management).
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Support cloud-native architecture and deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and security teams to streamline and secure the software delivery process.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure, pipelines, and application issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Automate configuration management, deployment, and scaling of applications.
• Ensure systems are compliant with security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC).
• Maintain and improve observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog).
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proficiency with Linux-based systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with security automation and compliance scanning tools.
• Strong understanding of networking, system architecture, and security principles.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and GitOps practices.
• Experience running, deploying, and maintaining production cloud infrastructure in AWS (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, LakeFormation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a government contracting environment.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or CompTIA Security+.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and secure SDLC frameworks.
• Experience with MongoDBs

The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000.Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
