Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Baseband-Savvy CNO Developer to join our CS3 Baseband Team in support of research and engineering (R&E) initiatives. This position focuses on the development and enhancement of capabilities targeting mobile devices, particularly at the baseband and native layers. Candidates must have a strong foundation in C programming, reverse engineering, and mobile device internals, along with specific experience in cybersecurity/CNO development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom CNO capabilities targeting mobile and baseband systems

  • Conduct deep reverse engineering across multiple architectures and embedded systems

  • Support R&E-focused capability development on native Android and mobile platforms

  • Collaborate with mission-focused teams to ensure solutions meet technical and operational needs

  • Apply software development skills to complex security problems involving low-level device internals

  • Document analysis, research findings, and development processes to support mission outcomes

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

  • 10+ years of experience in software development (or 8 years with Master's, 6 with PhD)

  • Minimum of 3 years of cybersecurity or CNO-specific development

  • Strong proficiency in C programming, with emphasis on low-level systems work

  • Experience supporting development on or analysis of mobile devices, especially native Android

  • Demonstrated experience performing reverse engineering across diverse CPU architectures

  • Experience with vulnerability research and exploit development

  • Familiarity with tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Frida, Wireshark, or QEMU

  • Deep understanding of Android baseband, modem interfaces, and embedded hardware behaviors

  • Ability to work independently on complex problems in R&E environments
