Johns Hopkins Care at Home Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Respiratory/HME Liaison to bridge hospital and home care services by facilitating patient transitions, distributing medical equipment with proper instruction, managing reimbursement processes, and leveraging extensive community resource knowledge to ensure continuity of care for patients requiring respiratory and durable medical equipment services.
Associate's degree (AA) or Bachelor's degree (BS) in Respiratory Therapy required Two years of respiratory-specific education or a closely related field
Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Technician Licensed by the Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance
Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or home care setting At least 1 year as a Respiratory Therapist in hospital or home care environment Demonstrated excellence in pulmonary assessment, home care planning, and problem-solving
Thorough understanding of agency policies, federal/state regulations, and third-party reimbursement for DME Critical thinking and analytical skills for scientific, mathematical, or technical problem resolution Excellent oral and written communication abilities with empathy in difficult situations Self-directed and confident in unstructured work environments Ability to identify patient needs for DME/respiratory services Sound judgment and excellent organizational skills Comprehensive knowledge of community healthcare resources Salary Range: Minimum $25.65/hour - Maximum $45.14/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
