What you'll be doing...

As a Principal Engineer in CXP Platform organization , you will be responsible to lead, design and deliver projects utilizing VCG Pega platform and Java technology across associated applications including PEGA-CJCM, PEGA-NBX/RTD, OMP across multiple LOBs.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Liaising with different business stakeholders, GTS partners groups and lead cross-functional development teams in designing and delivering optimal, high quality software utilizing Pega products, on time and within budgets.

  • Bringing the customer journeys together across sales, service & support domains and come up with wholesome and seamless customer experiences.

  • Ensuring platform stability; that it is highly performant and fault-tolerant and can handle Iconic loads, and also lead the application migration to microservices, AWS, leveraging Pega, Adobe integrations and the transformation to North Star Architecture.

  • Framing technical architecture guidelines, providing mentor support and guidance to the team and presenting regular status updates to VCG executive leadership.

  • Understanding the cutting-edge concepts and capabilities of PEGA and utilizing them to engineer customer journeys.

  • Implementing integrations such as REST, SOAP, File Listener, MQ and Error handling.

  • Adhering to the best practices including but not limited to Pega specific Guardrails. Prevent business disruption by predicting pitfalls & avoiding production issues.

  • Developing and implementing new systems and continuously ensuring optimum performance of the systems.

  • Leading multiple projects and managing deadlines along with troubleshooting to facilitate effective and efficient resolution of problems.

  • Managing systems in a heterogeneous environment and delivering scalable and performant solutions that will drive seamless customer experience.

  • Coordinating requirements and product deliverables between offshore team and business SMEs.

  • Partnering with different business stakeholders, GTS partners groups and lead cross-functional development teams in designing and delivering major large scale transformation programs such as actualizing the on/offboarding journey, encompassing system/policy/process/human factors from order to bill ( pre-order, order submission, activation, port-in , promo...) on time and within budgets.

  • Participating in Tek Talks, Lunch & Learn activities & Hackathons etc., showcasing platform capabilities & coming up with innovative solutions for meeting business demands.

  • Overseeing development and prod support including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

  • Providing proactive platform governance is a key responsibility that is required for ensuring system stability and avoidance of system and customer disruption.

  • Achieving objectives relative to a specific program task, project or initiative with limited supervision.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

  • Experience with Order Management applications architecture, development, operations & troubleshooting.

  • Experience in PEGA case management.

  • Experience in Java, J2EE, Web technologies, Design Patterns, OOAD, UML.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or other related field.

  • Pega certification - Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA).

  • Experience in developing web services using technologies such as REST, XML over HTTP and optionally, SOAP.

  • Experience developing applications using Spring, Spring boot.

  • Experience with large scale transformation efforts.

  • Knowledge of Sales, Digital experience and Customer service operations.

  • Understanding of core platforms such as ACSS, POS, and CXP Services.

  • Knowledge of North Star Architecture (SOE, SOI, CXP and SOR).

  • Working knowledge of VIP/POS BE.

  • Familiarity with public cloud technologies.

  • Experience in strategically integrating AI technologies into enterprise-wide systems and core business processes to drive efficiency and innovation.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies.

  • Possess analytical skills to analyze, evaluate identifiable factors and assess a user or client's needs to find the most suitable solution.

  • Possess good problem solving skills and provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems. Demonstrates organizational, time management and good judgment in selecting methods & techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Good presentation, written, verbal and problem solving skills.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
