Summary:

The Senior Data Engineer- IT Innovation Initiatives role identifies, designs, tests and develops data load processes and data warehouse architecture solutions that support the business needs of the organization. This role leads/mentors team members.

This role is part of the Innovation Initiatives Team within the IT Division, tasked with implementing a wide range of strategic IT projects across the MaineHealth system. These projects may encompass patient care, financial, research, or administrative domains and can include new software systems, hardware, and physical locations (e.g., new practice sites or care delivery venues). These will be high-impact, high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines that require precise execution to stay on schedule and budget.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Four years of experience in data pipeline management required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of database Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling (Kimball preferred)
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
