Directs and controls the administration of serious, complex liability claims against or by our Company, including litigated and non-litigated claims. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree/equivalent in Risk Management, Business, or related field. Minimum Experience Five (5) years related experience adjusting bodily injury and/or property damage liability claims and litigation of moderately serious exposure and complexity. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Moderate knowledge of contract, tort, damages, agency, subrogation, contribution/indemnity, and other applicable/related law, as well as related terminology, concepts, and practices. Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures. Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations, determine the appropriate course of action and present solutions to resolve claims within multimillion-dollar retention. Ability to direct and control work of third-party administrators. Excellent human relations, oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Risk Management Information System and Statistical Data, as well as MS Office. Preferred Qualifications: Skilled in liability claims oversight, both litigated and non-litigated. Experience working with TPAs and RMIS systems. Strong foundation in claims administration, litigation procedures, and organized, efficient time management. Demonstrated success in cross-department collaboration and interpersonal engagement. Self-motivated, data-driven decision-maker with analytical expertise. Proficient in Excel for trend analysis, especially in trucking/transportation claims. Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
