We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Associate Research Coordinator within the NYU Grossman School of Medicines Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicines Research Division.
In this role, the successful candidate will directly support the research portfolio of Dr. Stephen Wall. Dr. Wall's research addresses acute medical conditions while also tackling the social challenges that impact health.
The Per Diem Associate Research Coordinator will assist in the scientific activities across Dr. Wall's MetLife Foundation project. The coordinator will ensure that deliverables are completed per protocol requirements. Further they may assist in data interpretation and analyses, report on research activity status and assist in designing, developing, and modifying study procedures or survey instruments.
Job Responsibilities:
Principal Responsibilities
1.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of research study, study rationale, study subject, and clinical procedures associated with the study.
2.Collaborates with various personnel that may be involved in assisting with specific aspects in the study.
3.Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures of the host institution where the study is being conducted and the regulatory requirements such as IRB and other approvals if necessary.
4.Uses available resources and established procedures to identify problems for quick resolution.
5.Processes and summarizes data using scientific or statistical techniques and assists in data interpretation and analyses.
6.Orders and maintains inventory of supplies.
7.Organizes project materials and leads logistical tasks related to project administration, including notetaking during collaborator research meetings, contacting relevant stakeholders/parties, and tracking action items for scientific goals of the project.
8.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline and 0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under the direction of supervision. Ability to operate research related equipment. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data collection, conducting surveys, and REDCap. Experience with or interest in vulnerable populations, substance use, and/or social determinants of health.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $35.35 - $36.34 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
