What you'll be doing...

As a Data Science Senior Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the AI driven marketing strategies coming from NBx (Verizon's recommendation for the Next Best Thing to sell). You'll be focusing specifically on large datasets to uncover actionable insights, support data-driven decision-making by creating the reporting platforms and visibility into the results of NBx AI recommendations. You will need to be able to create the experimental design to track the performances of the strategies. Ultimately, you will be cross collaborating across the marketing teams on enabling the real time environment that can support the AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the existing campaign targeting SQL scripts that helps manage the targeting evolution and the respective NBx reporting.

  • Defining key metrics and figuring out how to collect or acquire the data.

  • Analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement within the NBx system.

  • Performing advanced analytics including A/B testing and experimental design to optimize business strategies.

  • Project management across marketing teams (CARs) to coordinate on processes/limitations/challenges in real time targeting evolution.

  • Identifying the root cause for campaign target volume mismatches between systems.

  • Creating and monitoring NBx campaign performances using dashboards and communicating in presentable slides to executives.

What we're looking for...

You believe that data analysis should be behind every important decision. You are a numbers person but you also have a strategic approach. You bring both a business perspective and an understanding of the marketplace-and not just theory and numbers. You like to think creatively to generate ground-breaking solutions, underpinned by logic and rationale to drive effective business decisions and outcomes. People describe you as a strong negotiator, someone who can resolve conflicts and identify the win-win solution. People trust you based upon your thoughtful and detailed analyses.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience with SQL and working with large datasets.

  • Experience with research, analytical, critical thinking and statistical knowledge.

  • Product management or technical consulting experience.

  • Behavior/predictive analysis and/or data analytics development experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering.

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field or MBA.

  • Experience balancing the needs of multiple partners.

  • Analyzed complex data sets with statistical modeling. Ideally, shared insights and recommendations for operational improvements.

  • SQL, Python, R experience in Teradata or GCP.

  • Familiarity with data visualization software. Ideally, Looker or Tableau.
