The Mopar Fleet Bid Specialist (FBS) will work in conjunction with the Regional Mopar fleet team and dealer personnel as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact responsible for managing the competitive bidding process that fleets use for the procurement of automotive parts and services. This includes preparing bid specifications, analyzing bids, and assisting Dealers with awarded contract implementation. The role also involves communicating with Stellantis supply chain and product line managers to maintain current information on parts, their release and timing, maintaining accurate inventory reports based on Fleet demand (both current and future), assisting Dealers with preparing bid costs with acceptable margins, and ensuring completed submissions follow bid specifications. Qualified candidates must excel at developing relationships and be a self-starter. The FBS must have a strong understanding of dealer fixed operations, service level business models, and fleet acumen. The FBS will be key to balance the bid requests of fleet customers, support the dealer network on bid submission, follow up, implement awarded bids, and manage priorities of the headquarters team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Research and identify potential Fleets to grow Stellantis Businesslink Dealer provided services such as Servicenet, Mobile Service, bpro branded parts, and all parts and service needs.
- Utilize Government Fleet Parts and Service Bidding Platforms such as Sourcewell, Bonfire, Bidnet (California), Texas Smart Buy, Buyboard, Tips-USA, etc. to conquest fleet business.
- Develop detailed bid specifications and documentation in collaboration with Dealer teams and corporate stakeholders.
- Manage the competitive bidding process, including issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) and evaluating bids.
- Support Stellantis as the Regional point of contact for all National and local Buy Boards.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to government agencies.
- Serve as point of contact for parts or service issues for Dealers and the Stellantis Fleet Team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with, fleets customers, Region teams, and dealers.
- Partner with Fleet Retail Sales Managers to maintain an active bid list for fleets across the region.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
This position will cover the following states: CA, KS, NE, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, UT, NV, CO, AZ, NM, WA, OR, AL, AK The selected candidate must reside in one of these states.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, automotive, marketing, or similar discipline
- 3+ years of experience with Bids, Government Procurement, Dealer Fixed Operations, Part Sales, Marketing, Operations, or working with fleets
- Strong knowledge of fleet management and vehicle maintenance
- Experience with the competitive bidding process
- Understanding of Dealership Operations or Aftermarket service & parts facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Capability to review, understand and analyze data from a business analytics standpoint
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task and take ownership of programs
- Advanced user of Microsoft business tools including advanced Excel skills, and PowerPoint experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project/program management
- Experience with bidding platforms such as Sourcewell, Bonfire, Bidnet, etc.
- Automotive/Dealership retail or aftermarket experience
- OEM/Aftermarket Field Experience
