Job Details

Under general direction of the Vice President, Branded/Specialty Rx Contracts, the Senior Manager Branded/Specialty Rx Contracts is responsible for the execution and day-to-day administration of Branded Rx and Specialty Rx Agreements (including documentation & management of all relevant terms and conditions). They will work closely with Channel Strategy & Product Access team to negotiate terms and conditions consistent with business terms agreed to by the Channel Strategy & Product Access team. They will also ensure all relevant COR distribution business units' interests are represented and documented in the agreements and will lead the interaction with internal stakeholders to bring the negotiation to a close.

Responsibilities

  • Lead distribution agreement negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers on behalf of the COR Business Units (Cencora Global Procurement, Drug Company, ASD, Oncology Supply, Besse Medical)

  • Drive alignment on negotiation strategy between COR Business Units and manufacturers in conjunction with the Channel Strategy & Product Access team.

  • Lead the interaction with internal functional stakeholders (i.e. Legal, Finance, Operations, RO, Chargebacks, etc.) to ensure their input is represented and appropriately documented in all Branded & Specialty Rx distribution agreements.

  • Represents Cencora Corporation during complex negotiations with manufacturers; develops key business terms outlining the alliance scope.

  • Proactively update COR business leaders on pending negotiations and relevant manufacturer updates.

  • Responsible for updating all contract tracking tools, including but not limited to CRM tools (i.e., Salesforce.com).

  • Complies with departmental policies and procedures, including but not limited to, contract life-cycle management.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (i.e. Legal, RO, Finance, Chargebacks) to ensure contract compliance and adherence to agreed metrics.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

This individual requires broad training in fields such as business administration; supply chain similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. 7+ Years contract negotiation experience. Pharmaceutical healthcare contraction and/or distribution experience preferred buy not required.

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word

  • Knowledge of CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce.com)
