*Description*
The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) will play a strategic role in shaping the architectural vision and ensuring that technology initiatives align with overall business goals. EA will act as the bridge between IT and business stakeholders, developing robust frameworks, processes, and standards that guide the organization's technology landscape. Through collaboration, governance, and innovation, the EA is expected to drive the digital transformation while managing the underlying technology risk and ensuring the Enterprise stays adaptive, secure, and forward-looking. Having a deep understanding of both current and emerging technologies, along with a keen awareness of business strategy and operational needs will be key to the EA's success. The EA must have demonstrated skills in successfully translating complex business requirements into practical technical solutions, using analytical thinking, communication, and leadership to influence organizational direction. This role requires not only technical expertise and a mastery of architectural frameworks, but also the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders. By championing architectural best practices and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement, the Enterprise Architect ensures that the enterprise's technology foundation is resilient, scalable, and prepared for future challenges. * Oversee Architectural Governance - Develop clear processes for architectural decision-making, review and approval. Implement industry standard decision-making frameworks to ensure decisions are well documented and consistent. Oversee the Architecture and Solution Review Board, setting standards for projects to be evaluated to architecture standards. Ensure architectural team complies with all applicable architecture standards. * Develop Architectural Standards - Define and create standards for UDX architecture documentation and frameworks, artifacts, and processes by following industry standards. Using a knowledge of architecture processes ensure each architecture artifacts official document repository, sequence diagrams, component diagrams, data models, cloud standards, network diagrams, etc. have well defined standards. In addition, ensure standards for application architecture, including service design standards, infrastructure architecture, and integration architecture. Design performance standards Ensure standards are published in an architecture repository. Define and approve tooling for each architecture artifact. * Develop a strategic vision - Translate business strategies into actionable technology roadmaps & architecture runways. * Ensure Alignment - Ensure architecture alignment with other teams including security, data privacy, network and infrastructure teams around architectural standards and reference architectures. Participate in audits and ensure architectural documentation is in alignment with audit needs. Build upskilling community of practice and create and provide training for other teams over architectural design patterns and standards. Align with other governance teams around CMDB and EA tooling. * Stakeholders Engagement - Engaging with business & IT/Engineering stakeholders to facilitate successful implementation & adoption of architectural standards. * Driving Digital Transformation - Identifying opportunities for improvement by leveraging technology to improve business processes. Building POC for technology adoption. * Risk Management - Identifying potential risks associated with technology choices and influence solution approaches accordingly. Develop mitigation strategies when risks ar accepted * Innovation and emerging technologies - Researching & evaluating new technologies to determine their potential impact & suitability for the organization, driving innovation & maintaining a competitive edge. * Technical Collaboration - Collaborate with project management office (PMO) and other teams to set architecture standards for project intake, and day to day work (Jira). Document process and work with PMO to ensure all teams are following the process. Ensure other teams are following architecture processes for work. * Technical Debt & Application Redundancy - Track and manage Technical debt and App redundancy inherent in the Application portfolio *Skills* Architecture, Enterprise architecture, Solution architecture, Cloud, Design * * *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Extensive experience with IT governance frameworks. * Broad knowledge of Business Architecture and integrating it with Technology Architecture * Deep understanding of Enterprise architecture concepts and methodologies. * Experience in consulting with executives. * Broad technology knowledge including cloud computing, integration, DevOps, networking, data storage, application engineering, and cybersecurity. * Experience in project or program management. * Risk management experience to identify, assess and mitigate architectural and technical risks *Must be located in CA* *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $85.00/hr.
