Shift Supervisor

Huntsman is seeking a Shift Supervisor supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Ringwood, IL. This position will report to the Production Excellence Manager.

Job Scope

Huntsman is looking for a Production Shift Supervisor to lead operations at our manufacturing facility in Ringwood, IL. This position is critical in driving operational excellence, safety, and productivity across a dynamic 24/7 production environment.

In summary, as the Shift Supervisor, you will:

• Lead and supervise a team of 8-12 operators across various manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Production Manager, Production Superintendent, other shift supervisors, and cross-functional teams including EHS, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient, safe, and timely production.
• Oversee the condition and operation of production equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure in alignment with company and regulatory EHS standards.
• Ensure full compliance with all HR and EHS policies, including training requirements, documentation, and employee adherence to procedures.
• Coach and support team development, including associate performance, skill balancing, and corrective actions when needed to maintain a safe, motivated, and effective workforce

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in chemical manufacturing, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.

Skills and knowledge

• Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality and operational excellence.
• Effective communicator with strong verbal and written skills; training or team facilitation experience a plus.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team toward shared objectives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using standard office software and process control systems.

Working Environment

• Capable of working in a chemical manufacturing environment and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing manual tasks.
