The Production Trainer will have the responsibility to deliver hands-on training to new and existing production employees, maintaining training records, ensure safety protocols are followed and assure adherence to our Quality System guidelines.

Shift details:

Monday-Thursday

5am-3:30pm

Requirements

* Must complete and demonstrate competency in training others, all in accordance with (IAW) Train the Trainer Program.

* Complete OJT Trainer OJT Plan.

* Responsible for training of new employees on the shop floor for a minimum of 30 days after the completion of Core Skills Training. IAW the Train the Trainer techniques and the New Flyer Institute work instruction for OJT.

* Responsible for utilizing and completing the On the Job training plan for the trainee for the 30 day or more period as well as OJT plans for transferred or identified employees requiring update/refresher training

* Help troubleshoot problem areas with machine/equipment operation and quality

* Assist employees in developing skills and knowledge of job duties

* Ensure all department personnel are following manufacturing procedures.

* Ablilty to communicate manufacturing/quality issues with Engineering/Quality and operators.

* Ensure smooth transfers of technology and product revisions/introductions from Engineering to Production.

* Maintain open lines of communication between all shifts and levels of the organization.

* Review documentation to ensure trainees are completing documentation correctly.

* Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities.

* Document training events and submit to appropriate personnel.

* Compile and publish training metrics.

* Identify potential quality problems, compliance gaps, and possible process efficiency improvements to production management.

* Communicate with Leads to develop training schedules and identify areas of improvement.

* Assign work to department trainees and ensure efficient product flow.

* Effectively communicate quality or personnel issues to cell leaders/managers/engineers.

* Make sure all parts and orders comply with assembly instructions to specific guidelines.

* Manage day-to-day 5S standards.

* Additional or extended work hours may be required.
