The Department of Educational Psychology develops and applies cutting-edge scientific knowledge concerning: the psychological and social processes that underlie learning; the design of effective instruction; the factors affecting the mental health of learners of all ages; and the methodological tools required to generate this knowledge. The department is consistently ranked as one of the nation's best graduate programs in this field.

Educational Psychology is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-orientated individual committed to providing exceptional customer service to the department's graduate students, faculty, staff, families, and community members.

This position serves as the primary administrative staff for the department and the School Psychology Training Clinics. This individual will support the diverse needs of the department including curricular needs, finance-related tasks, administrative requests, records management, procurement and human resource needs.

As support to the School Psychology Training Clinics, this person will communicate with clients and their families, along with school personnel, and medical professionals to schedule and follow up with individuals. They will support the financial tasks related to billing, accounts payable and supply ordering.

Individuals with exceptional customer service skills, those highly adaptable to change and experience working with a wide-range of individuals and abilities will be successful in this position.

This position has the potential to work remotely upon successful completion of training and within the work rules of the department.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues and budgetary problems. Provides procurement, accounts receivable and payable support.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
  • Provide support to students and faculty with enrollment authorizations following university and department policies and procedures. Assists with curricular-related entry and manages the course evaluation process.

  • Manage and oversee the operational aspects of the School Psychology Training Clinic and the Student Assessment Services Training Clinic competently and efficiently. Schedule appointments and program and clinic meetings; manage client materials and use of training facilities; and assist with facilities management of program and clinic space.

Compensation:

Minimum $54,000 per 12-months and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience working in an office setting providing high-level support.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a solutions oriented mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of methods and technology. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to positive and productive workplace relationships and effective partnerships.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while maintaining high quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet department and campus timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite and general computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest in or experience developing communication and marketing pieces using WordPress or similar web-based technology.
  • Experience with business-related social media platforms.
  • Experience working with higher-education course enrollment platforms and evaluation application/systems.

Education:

Required: H.S. Diploma

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
