Title: Product Care Expert, Food Preservation

Location: Anderson, SC

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and 3 years of experience developing and implementing operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for products, components, equipment, and systems for electronic modules in food preservation appliances.
  • Must have experience in:
    • Developing and managing strategic product care and cost out projects for refrigerators and freezers using 5S, Kanban, Agile methodologies, and VBA routines for Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
    • Utilizing E3 Zuken and Catia to develop wiring harness design and 3D models with focus on cost, quality, and ease of manufacturability.
    • Developing integration solutions between software and hardware interfaces that enable remote access to refrigeration data.
    • Utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless connectivity protocols to integrate applications or modifications for electronic properties into energy efficient smart refrigeration products.
    • Ensuring adherence to domestic and international standards, including, IEC and UL.

Job Duties:

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for food preservation appliances employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
  • Develop and implement operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for products, components, equipment, and systems for electronic modules in food preservation appliances.
  • Develop and manage strategic product care and cost out projects for refrigerators and freezers using 5S, Kanban, Agile methodologies, and VBA routines for Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Guarantee the application of R&D tools to ensure the best-in-class quality/Fit-Feel-Finish and product improvements in cost out projects.
  • Create technology roadmap plans for developing electronic components and refrigeration product specifications.
  • Review technical tests results and make decisions on final part approval.
  • Analyze and evaluate electrical and electronic interactions to determine design project requirements.
  • Utilize Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless connectivity protocols to integrate applications or modifications for electronic properties into energy efficient smart refrigeration products.
  • Utilize E3 Zuken and Catia to develop wiring harness design and 3D models with focus on cost, quality, and ease of manufacturability.
  • Develop integration solutions between software and hardware interfaces that enable remote access to refrigeration data.
  • Identify standardization opportunities for refrigeration product wiring harness and electronic system design.
  • Utilize Model Based Design (MBD) with MATLAB, Simulink, and Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) to develop SW and product algorithms. Ensure adherence to domestic and international standards, including, International Electrotechincal Comission (IEC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
  • Research and develop new green electronics technologies, such as energy efficient refrigerators and freezers using highly efficient compressor (inverters) and the green refrigerant gas (R600a).
  • Drive continuous improvement in current design and factory process.
