| Hours: Primary hours will be Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm however must be flexible to meet the clinical and educational needs of all staff, including off-shift and weekends. Weekend availability also is important to provide teaching and participate in community stroke, awareness education programs. Duke Nursing Highlights: 
 The Stroke Program Manager (SPM) collaborates with the Duke Raleigh Campus Stroke Team in Stroke Program development and implementation. The SPM supports the Duke Raleigh Campus Stroke Program through data collection of quality indicators, promoting ongoing compliance with The Joint Commission Stroke Certification, staff education, management of the rapid access system for stroke inpatients and coordination of community events. S/he is a clinician, educator, investigator, consultant and leader. S/he makes programmatic and clinical judgments based on synthesis of current research, concepts, principles, theories, and outcomes to solve complex problems. The SPM functions as an integral part of the Stroke Team and Neuroscience, Intensive Care, and Emergency Department Clinical Service Unit contributing to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and in providing leadership to the organization.  Required Qualifications at this Level Education Position requirements graduation from NLN accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must demonstrate evidence of enrollment in Bachelor's degree program. Experience Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience. A minimum of three years' experience as registered nurse with two years' experience in neuroscience or medical surgical. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Licencsures and Certifications Must demonstrate and maintain licensing requirements of Duke Raleigh Hospital and North Carolina State Board of Nursing. BLS required. Certification in stroke required within one year of hire.
