Inside the Role

Our legal team seeks an energetic and detail-oriented Litigation Support Coordinator to help us manage and organize a high-volume litigation docket. You will work closely with the Associate General Counsel for Litigation, lawyers and paralegals who defend the company in all manner of lawsuits across the United States and Canada. You will also provide support to the broader legal team as needed. You will carry out processes and practices that ensure the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the litigation team and keep us organized in meeting deadlines and fulfilling reporting requirements. Position offers a starting salary range of $65,000 - $83,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Manage and organize new matter intake for a high-volume litigation docket.

  • Handle new vendor onboarding and processing of invoices and expenses.

  • Maintain litigation group's document database, including adding new matters, updating existing matters, and creating and running reports.

  • Compile strategic reports to evaluate legal spend, identify case trends, and ensure timely reporting of government-regulated events.

  • Monitor various legal matters and keep information up to date.

  • Prepare correspondence, documents and presentations; take responsibility for proofreading, formatting, consistency and accuracy on time-sensitive, high-profile documents

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys & paralegals.

  • Calendaring of court and other deadlines.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BA and prefer 0-2 years of experience OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

  • 3 years of legal support experience

  • Demonstrated ability to initiate actions independently and follow through to completion.

  • Effective in planning, prioritizing and executing tasks in a timely manner.

  • Strong, flexible communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of different people, including co-workers, company executives, outside counsel and staff, and other third-party contacts of the Legal Department.

  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite tools including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, upbeat environment.

An Exceptional Candidate Might Have

  • Previous experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department preferred.

  • Previous experience with product liability and asbestos litigation preferred.

  • Paralegal experience is a plus.

  • Notary certification preferred.

  • Familiarity with basic accounting practices preferred.

  • Preferred experience and interest in improving processes using both digital and analog solutions.
