Join Our Team as a Service Planner at Epiroc!

At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers' productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training.

Service Planners help our Service Centers meet their business goals of parts and service sales & growth, increased market share and profitability, and reducing costs through planning support. They are responsible for our company's parts and service planning process and routines, providing timely communication to internal and external customers, maintain and safeguard business documents, assist with customer service and training and report any issues of concern that do not meet company standards.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Personal Protection Equipment may be required in this role. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Monday to Friday. 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional Over-time

Responsibilities:



  • Provide service planning support for Epiroc Service Centers and service teams such as Major Outage's, Planned Component Rebuilds (PCRs) and other work teams
  • Plan all aspects of the service process including partnership with Service Managers to keep job scope and costs within budget guidelines
  • Assist with planning warranty work and implementation of Technical Service News Bulletin (TSNB) processes submitting claims as required including any additional follow[1]up that may be requested by the Product Companies
  • Support other business groups in their efforts, including preparation of quotations, product application studies, and sales support material
  • Assist with Work in Progress (WIP) management to include closing work orders in a timely manner, application of all associated costs.
  • Ensure that adequate customer, service center, and distributor planning support is available
  • Provide assistance with other tasks as required at the service center, including but not limited to receipt of parts, dispatching/shipping of parts, answering customer calls, etc.
  • Help support PSD projects and initiatives as needed
  • Promote the sales of aftermarket products, including but not limited to service agreements, spare parts, remanufactured components, rock drills, etc.
  • Leverage alternative resources including other customer centers and product companies to better promote service processes and procedures
  • Utilize scorecards to manage service work order maintenance.
  • Create new files for job planning and other documents as needed
  • Update reference documents regularly (Service Training Manual and other reference material)
  • Become knowledgeable of and fulfill the requirements of Company Policies not limited to technical warranty, product liability and Occupational Safety and Health Administration policies
  • Submit key departmental reporting information back to management, enabling accurate continuous improvement related decision making for responsible stakeholders
  • Provide data entry into Excel, Access and/or other software systems as needed for various reports
  • Assist with special Parts & Services Division projects as needed (5S)
  • Occasional travel other Epiroc Service Center locations
  • Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times



Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of practical related experience in customer and/or technical service and training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous mining or heavy equipment logistics planning experience or certification is highly preferred
  • Possess a valid and active driver's license
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient level experience working in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • SAP and contact management systems experience is preferred
  • Position may require approximately 10% travel to various locations for service planner support
