JOB MISSION:
The Associate Global Retail Operations Manager, Workforce Management (WFM) will play a key role in the implementation, management, and ongoing support of our Workforce Management solution across global New Balance retail stores. In this role, you will collaborate closely with regional business partners to configure our retail scheduling platform in alignment with global compliance standards, while tailoring solutions to meet local operational requirements.
This newly created position is a foundational part of our evolving retail operating model. It offers the opportunity to drive continuous optimization, enhance workforce productivity, and support a dynamic, growing organization committed to operational excellence.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

OPERATIONS

  • Conduct discovery sessions with key stakeholders to refine demand inputs and optimize workforce planning

  • Effectiveprogram leadershipfor Workforce Management (WFM) requires a blend of operational expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and change management.

  • Consult with HR globally and by region to ensure labor laws by country and/or localities are configured to requirements

  • Support tech partners in Integration Testing and collaborate with field leadership and pilot stores for User Testing. Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed

  • Customize views for all levels of leadership to have clear reporting of labor demand, key performance metrics, and HR compliance

  • Facilitate conversations with Global Training Team with the development of operational training materials for all roles (i.e. Admin, Retail Leadership, and Store UX)

  • Update and maintain system releases to ensure the solution aligns with any changes in organizational policies, labor laws, and evolving business needs

  • Leverage data analysis to pinpoint opportunities to enhance workforce efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels

  • Continue partnership post implementation with regional leaders on refining WFM processes based on feedback, data analysis, and emerging best practices to enhance system effectiveness

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Liaise with corporate and regional retail partners as an ambassador of Global Retail Operations to advocate global adoption of WFM across NB stores

  • Communicate and coordinate platform updates and/or enhancements with regional partners

  • Partner and collaborate with external stakeholders in gathering best business practices and industry standards for WFM execution

  • Continuous collaboration with tech partners and vendor monitoring system performance and identifying/resolving technical issues or gaps

  • Train and develop teams on platform tools and functionality

  • Plan and execute collaborative, educational, and motivational meetings, and workshops

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 3years' experiencein regional/global retail operations function

  • Experience in a Workforce Management role preferred

  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment

  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

  • Experience with developing, implementing, and measuring retail programs

  • Experience with project management

  • Strong influential skills; being engaging and persuasive in communications

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
