GENERAL FUNCTION
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing entries, cash flow forecasts, implementation of internal controls and ad hoc requests related to accounting projects. This role will participate in the finalization of year-end closing, reporting and support of the financial year and audit.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Participate in month-end and year end closing process, including inter-company balance management and analysis of variances
* Oversee, conduct and follow-up on analyses of monthly results and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
* Ensure the integrity of financial systems is maintained, ensure financial information is maintained up-to-date in a timely and precise manner, and recommend improvements to internal controls.
* Oversee and carry out the preparation of reports required by the business unit and the corporate consolidation team.
* Recommend and participate in the implementation of improvement measures (this includes being a key participant in computer system troubleshooting, improvements and conversions)
* Work with external auditors to complete their audit by providing the required information
* Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies, and provide guidance to other personnel
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and Internal Controls
* Provide accounting support to company-owned locations and partner labs
* Work with government auditors when required
* Participate in process improvements and special projects
* Provide daily assistance to the corporate controller and actively support all projects related to accounting functions and objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Possess a CPA (CA) designation
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Good knowledge of IFRS standards and internal control principles
* Solid and recent knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Hyperion and Cognos BI, would be an asset
* Proficient in MS Office
* Organized, able to set priorities, develop work schedules, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information, and activities
* Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ease in communicating at all organizational levels

Pay Range: 66,779.60-91,053.60

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
