Job Title: Assembler I

Location(s): Fort Madison, IA

PRIMARY FUNCTION:



  • Perform all preparation activities to the molds prior to the start of packing operations.


PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read, write & speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to use hand & power tools and lifting equipment.
  • Possess or have ability to acquire all PIME license by passing company test requirements.
  • Possess or have ability to acquire LOTO certification.


WORKING PROCEDURES:


  • The following are the major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.
  • Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions.
  • Train to be proficient in mold preparation, web assembly, mandrel preparation, and mandrel removal.
  • Document (Prisma) the mold preparation, web assembly, mandrel preparation, and mandrel removal for each mold/blade.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect, and prepare molds.
  • Perform inspections as required.
  • Work with or under the direction of Floor Leads, managers, and engineers.
  • Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations.
  • Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
  • Provide technical direction and training to other employees as needed.
  • Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Demonstrate the ability to count and record material data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other MS Office computer tools.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day.
  • Available for overtime for up to 12 -hour days and on off days.
  • Demonstrate ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Acquire forklift, scissor lift, and Crown Wave license from the Safety Department.
