Position Description:

This position is responsible for performing high quality shop work, field service, and to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner, and to ensure maximum value for work performed. Additional responsibilities include managing small to large amounts of inventory. Candidate must be a hardworker and be accustomed to continuous manual labor and be able to lift heavy objects, up to 100 pounds. The successful candidate must possess effective people skills as well as technical expertise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- On a daily basis, must be able to repair equipment in a team environment.
- Self-direct workflow on a regular basis with a limited amount of supervision.
- Communicate on a daily basis in an effective and professional manner, both written and orally, with customers and employees in a field service environment.
- Must be able to wear steel-toed boots for 8 - 12 hours shifts.
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to negotiate through rough terrain.
- Must be able to negotiate ladders.
- On a regular basis proatively discuss challenges of the job with supervisor.
- Perform duties on an "on call" basis and after hours as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Occasional delivery/pickup of goods to/from customer or vendors.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training/equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Word Processing software.

Background and DMV check required.
Initial and random drug screening required.
