The Role

As the Officer, Strategic Foundation Partnerships (SFP ), you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will cultivate and steward a portfolio of existing awards and new funding opportunities with the Gulf-based partners. Managed by the Senior Officer who leads our global partnership with the key Gulf partners including Education Above All and Educate a Child, you will lead multiple funding opportunities as well as play a key role in Save the Children's holistic partnership development processes for these strategic Gulf partnerships at large. Part of a small Gulf-focused team, you will liaise broadly across internal program colleagues and international teams such as Save the Children International colleagues working on Gulf partnerships and strategic positioning, enabling Save the Children to grow its existing relationship with Gulf partners to create greater impact for children. You will also collaborate with a dynamic, welcoming and value-driven SFP team during an exciting period. Over the next three years, we aim to double the size of our portfolio and impact for children. Strategic partnership with Gulf partners is a central pillar of this growth ambition, and we are seeking a driven, results-oriented Officer to join our team.

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Lead portfolio of new and existing Gulf Partner opportunities (75%)

• Advance opportunities to help grow and enrich Save the Children's partnerships with Gulf partners.
• Identify new Gulf partner opportunities prospects and develop strategies to seek support for Save the Children's global programs.
• Serve as the primary contact with foundation program officers.
• Coordinate closely with Save the Children colleagues in programs, finance, grants & contracts and marketing & communications.
• Liaise with the Impact Communications team to draft concept notes, LOIs, grant proposals and reports.
• Establish and maintain a quick and steady pace of communications and track progress utilizing our customer relationship management system (BBEC).
• Provide quality management of existing donor commitments. Submit accurate and timely reports to donors.

Collaborate with Gulf-focused colleagues to help steward this strategic foundation partner (20%)

• Support senior team members in cultivating and stewarding large-scale foundation opportunities by preparing donor materials, assisting with proposal development and reporting, and participating in donor meetings or calls as assigned.

Special projects (5%)

• Lead regular reporting to Save the Children International Global Foundation Leadership Group.
• Perform special projects and represent the SFP team on topics related to the strategic efforts of the unit.

Required qualifications for the role

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop and steward strong partnerships with significant client-facing experience, including direct donor engagement to secure funding for priority projects
• Project management and organizational skills including detail orientation, with ability to oversee multiple deliverables, manage stakeholder groups with potentially different points of view and adapt to evolving priorities
• Demonstrated organization skills with keen attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to write and communicate persuasively, clearly, and concisely, to synthesize information from multiple sources into a single, effective fundraising document
• Experience using CRM databases such as Blackbaud or Salesforce
• Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Preferred qualifications for the role

• Experience working with foundations in a non-profit fundraising role
• Previous experience collaborating with Gulf donors
• Experience working in non-profit organizations

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:

• Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $84,150 - $94,050 base salary
• Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $76,500 - $85,500 base salary
• Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $68,850 - $76,950 base salary

The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
