The receptionist position will be responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. Some tasks will include answering and transferring phone calls, sorting and delivering mail, greeting customers, vendors, employees, and the general public. It is crucial that the receptionist role provides exceptional customer service assistance and provides an overall welcoming environment. Minimum Qualifications: GED or High School Diploma, some college preferred. One year experience as a receptionist and/or customer service role is preferred. Fluent in spoken and written Spanish is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Be able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of company, employee, customer, and vendor information. Be a honest and ethical team player. Be able to work under stress and deal with the public effectively in a professional manner. Be able to work with difficult people and stay focused and calm under stressful situations . Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers and vendors. Have the interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all employees, customers, and vendors such as Be a self-starter who can work independently of supervision, or as part of a team. Have the ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to : computers, multiline phones, copiers, and scanners. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Be proficient in Microsoft Office. Have the ability to learn new software programs. Required Physical Abilities: This is a predominantly sedentary position - Must be able to performed tasks while sitting, with minimal physical activity. Prolonged computer use, typing, phone calls, and document management. Be able to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and perform light lifting. Have adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Meet and greet employees, customers and visitors, collecting all pertinent information. Answer the telephone and operate the telephone console; answer and transfer telephones with proper professional etiquette, Open, sort, and distribute internal and external mail, faxes, and deliveries. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, phone calls, filing, and scanning. Maintain neat and orderly front desk area and office supply cabinets. Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed. Maintain general office filing. Order food for meetings and company events. Timely and regular attendance is essential.
