LOCATION: North West Valley Corps

STATUS: FTE/40 hours/wk - Flex schedule in support of program dates and times

QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Minimum of 3 yrs experience in Salvation Army or evangelical church programs.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately in a timely manner
  • Must possess time management skills and be able to work independently
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work and conduct business in a professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products/Pro Presenter
  • Ability to pass TSA Fleet Safety e-learning module
  • Must pass a MVR check with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive Salvation Army vehicles (7 passenger car, 14 passenger bus, 25 passenger bus)
  • CDL license or ability to obtain one.
  • Compliance with all aspects of the Protect the Mission program, including annual assessment.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of, and give competent instruction in, Salvation Army doctrine.
  • Be willing to learn all programs associated with The Salvation Army Church.
  • Handle the multimedia programs related to this Corps
  • Weekly input of ProPresenter for the Sunday Service / Live Stream of the Service.
  • Assign and train different individuals who can run the sound board / Facebook Live.
  • Successfully plan and execute annual Vacation Bible School.
  • Recruit, and supervise volunteers to assist in leading youth programs.
  • Meet with youth volunteers quarterly.
  • Hold monthly youth meetings with Corps program staff who help out in our youth programs.
  • Keep all troop supplies purchased, replenished and organized.
  • Track all troop participants award badges and turn them into DHQ monthly.
  • Oversee TSA Summer Camp Program, handling the registrations process and supporting the parents with their paperwork, review their paperwork for accuracy, collecting their camp deposits, turning these funds into Business Office, and finally driving kids to and from camp and when necessary, scheduling other drivers and volunteers to support to be compliant with PTM guidelines.
  • Go to DHQ events at Camp as the leader and chaperone.
  • Work with kitchen crew on snacks and meals so that they may plan accordingly.
  • Pick up and drop off of children before and after programs as necessary.
  • Develop quality Christian programs for youth & teens to include worship and bible studies.
  • Plan youth outreach opportunities for our youth and their families to grow stability with our youth and their families.
  • Participate in Community Events and when requested, and assist with planning and execution of special projects that include youth.
  • Keep statistics and turn them in monthly for all youth programs.
  • Be willing to work in other areas of the Corps when necessary.
  • Assist with Kettles and/or Christmas Angel programs encouraging our youth/teens when appropriate.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Corps Officers.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
