We're actively seeking a talented Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team. As a Construction Services Manager you'll move Pacific Life, and your career forward by managing our Construction portfolios / projects successfully. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 4 other professionals in the Pacific Life Investments Division.

Your construction team colleagues, as well as other PL colleagues you will be interfacing with will all be a part in working cohesively together to support each others success in their roles.

How you'll help make an impact and move us forward:

  • Review construction documents and property condition assessments, to evaluate risks, and provide feedback to the Loan Closing and Equity teams during the closing due diligence review period. Be relied upon for expert technical advice.

  • Monitor construction through completion to protect against faulty construction and to ensure that projects are completed in conformance with approved construction documents. Travel is required for on-site draw meetings.

  • Understand how the loan documents relate to construction deals, set up and attend kick-off meetings for new construction projects.

  • Maintain extensive project documentation and related records for internal use and distribution on a regular and scheduled basis.

The experience you bring:

  • 10+ years in the construction industry whether it be from the General Contracting side as a Construction Project Manager and/or from the Ownership/Development side as a Construction Manager.

  • 4-year degree preferred or equivalent work experience in the construction industry.

  • Proficient knowledge of plans and specifications, construction contracts and the loan draw review process.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlines while staying flexible and proactive.

  • Proficiency in software applications, specifically Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint and Box, Procore.

  • Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Travel is required.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$134,280.00 - $164,120.00
