Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:
Leads, coordinates and manages all aspects of
production activities of various departments to achieve optimal cost management
and on-time completion to ship customer orders on time. Supervises business units to achieve a high
level of productivity in producing quality products to customer specification. This includes supporting company-defined goals
and standards.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Supervises various departments and/or processes
within the manufacturing areas including Tooling, Heading, Trim, Thread Roll,
and Secondary Operations.

Enforces company policies (Conduct, Quality and
Safety) as necessary. Trains and coaches
as needed.

Uses cascade communication approach to inform others
of unusual or anticipated problems. Holds daily communication meetings with employees to communicate team
goals. Provides status updates on
projects, production, and other status reports as needed.

Prepares employee performance evaluations and
conducts performance reviews. Outlines
training plans and career prospects.

Administers company policies in hiring, promoting,
disciplining and other related areas requiring guidance in conjunction with
Human Resources and Management.

Implements the proper procedures or functions to
optimize processes, reduce cost, and increase productivity while maintaining
conformance to customer requirements and/or industry specifications;
participates in continual process improvement and cost reduction projects.

Leads/drives change using Lean Manufacturing
techniques; engages team through Lean culture techniques.

Trains personnel in the understanding and use of
manufacturing and/or tooling blueprints and work orders.

Implements the necessary controls to ensure quality
products are produced and delivered to schedule.

Ensures compliance with company policy regarding
quality requirements, Statistical Process Control, documentation, and computer
transactions.

Analyzes production reports and conducts audits,
trains, and coaches employees as necessary. Coaches production employees to set up work methods to achieve
productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

Reviews Engineering Change Orders and participates in
Material Review Board as necessary.

Participates in failure analysis, and efficiently solves
technical problems. Conducts root cause
and corrective actions as necessary.

Effectively carries out production operations and
meets production schedules while maintaining product quality. Coordinates with inventory, shipping and
planning to process work orders from start to finish. Coordinates with production planning to
establish working schedules for assigned departments.

Conducts time studies and establishes work methods
and workflow. Maintains detailed
production records timely and accurately.

Ensures that safety standards are followed, and
safety remains top priority.

This role is required to be on-site 3 days a week (Friday-Sunday) at the Ottawa, KS location.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Five to seven
years related Manufacturing experience. Minimum three to five years' experience with supervisory responsibility
in a high-volume manufacturing environment with applicable experience in an
operational role. Experience in
supervising technical processes or products.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to
speak effectively before a group of employees or organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,
oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual
should have knowledge of Manufacturing software and
Word Processing software.

Other
Competencies

Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015-AS9100:2016 "Rev.
D", D19000A, and SPC preferred.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate to very loud.
