The Senior Network Administrator's primary responsibilities include maintaining stable operations of enterprise network infrastructure. This position will design, recommend, upgrade, implement, and support LAN/WAN solutions while using best practices and staying in accordance with strict networking guidelines. Physical Demands: The Senior Network Administrator will regularly perform tasks such as moving, repositioning, and installing technology related equipment typically weighing 50 pounds or more. In person work requires the ability to route and connect cords and cables running through server racks and in overhead trays. Regular onsite presence is essential to ensure timely responses to physical infrastructure needs and emergencies. Work Environment: This position is primarily onsite, involving desk, computer room, and communications closets duties, with frequent onsite visits to end-user locations across Cranbrook's campus as necessary. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours as projects and emergencies dictate. On-call cell phone availability and off-hours on-call is also required.
